President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the allegations levelled against some officials of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Buhari expressed disappointment that some political appointees have abused the trust reposed in them by past and present administrations.
He made this known after observing the Eid-el-Kabir prayers with his family members and aides at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
However, he vowed that all past and present cases will be fully investigated.
The President said some assets and money have been recovered through the Treasure Single Account, TSA.
Buhari Slams Political Appointees
You will recall that there are on the ongoing probes of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu over alleged fraud.
Also, the National Assembly is probing the allegations of mismanagement levelled against the Interim Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Meanwhile, Buhari noted that he expects security agencies to do more in tackling the insecurity in the North West and North Central parts of the country.
Buhari assured the military, police and other security agencies of more resources to deal with the insecurity situation in some areas of the country.
