Buhari and NCC
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the reappointment of Prof Umar Garba Danbatta as the executive vice chairman of the Nigerian communications commission (NCC).
The executive vice chairman was said to have been reappointed at the request of the Nigerian minister of communications and digital economy, dr. isa pantami.
The spokesperson to the Minister, Uwa Suleiman said in a statement that Dr Isa Pantami had directed that Professor Danbatta should improve on the overall performance of the Nigeria communication commissions, NCC.
This is also to ensure that the implementations of all the policies of the federal government through the ministry of communications and digital economy would be properly carried out by provision of proper means to carry them out by the commission.
The vice chairman was also implored to maintain the interest of the telecommunication consumers, investors and Nigerians are properly protected.
