President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the killing of 43 farmers that was reportedly killed by Boko Haram sect on rice fields at Zabarmari in Jere Local Government of Borno State.
Reacting, President Buhari described the terrorist killings as insane.
His reaction was contained in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja.
Boko Haram Slaughters 43 Farmers In Borno
The President noted that the government had given all the needed support to the armed forces to take all necessary steps to protect the country’s population and its territory.
Garba revealed that President Buhari condemned the killing of the hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State.
According to him, the entire country is hurt by what the President described as senseless killings.
Meanwhile, an unspecified number of others were unaccounted for when the Boko Haram insurgents launched attacks on rice fields at Zabarmari.
