The Brekete Family Live programme treated a widow’s late husband’s case who reported that the state police in the east mishandled it and failed to follow the due process.
Mrs Clementina Obah, the widow who cried to the human rights radio, narrated the entire event that led to the death of her husband.
She pointed out that while she scheduled her journey to the market on that blessed day, her husband was supposed to harvest cassava from the farm.
Returning from the market, Mrs Obah noticed that her husband hadn’t returned from the farm. She reported that they placed several calls to his cell phone, but there was no reply.
Later that night, she and a couple of other persons decided to visit the farm they found the lifeless body of her missing husband.
A picture displayed on the live programme revealed that late Mr Obah was possibly attacked and killed as bloodstains were on the side of his head and arms.
Mrs Obah then reported to the police, they made some arrests, and the case seemed like they made some progress at the start of their investigations.
Brekete Family Live: Officers Accused of Accepting Bribe to Dump Case
Meanwhile, according to her, money exchanged hands, bribes were offered in the long run, and all the suspects were released, and the case was almost completely turned around to make her the guilty party.
On her part, Barrister Ogor, a serving member of BreketeFamily, hinted that she has been monitoring the case, and most of the claims by Mrs Obah is untrue.
However, the matter was adjourned on the live show until further notice. The ordinary president, Dr Isa Ahmed, assured the widow that the officers who collected bribes would cough out the money and report how they treated the case earlier to their superiors.
