Cleric, Bishop Wale Oke Raises Alarm Over Fulani Agenda

Following reports making the rounds over the proposed creation of Sharia court in the southwest region of Nigeria, a cleric Bishop Wale Oke has issued a stern warning to those calling for the creation of the courts.

Bishop Oke, the founder of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, urged the Nigerian government to direct their efforts towards solving the country’s mounting problems. He noted that President Muhammadu Buhari had lost touch with reality due to extreme fatigue.

The clergyman, who is also the President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, further warned those pushing the Fulani agenda to cease or be ready to die. Oke maintained that Sharia law would not be imposed in the South West, adding that some people are pushing Nigeria to the brim of war.

He opined that some lawmakers intend to use the ongoing constitutional review to create religious confusion in the Southwest, despite the country’s insecurity, kidnapping, and bad economy.

The Bishop noted that Nigeria is never as divided as this, adding that the people that Buhari surrounds himself with are doing a very horrible job.

He said some people are making efforts to create religious confusion in the South West because the hijab crisis in Kwara State has not worked.

Earlier, a group had, during the zonal public hearings on constitutional amendments, submitted a memo to the Senate Committee, proposing the implementation of Sharia in the southwest region.

The group known as the Muslim Congress said it wants Sharia implemented in the Yoruba-speaking Southwest to cater to its Muslim population in the region.
