The General Overseer of Living Faith Ministries, Bishop David Oyedepo has endorsed the ongoing #ENDSARS protests in the country.
The clergyman backed the movement during a sermon on Sunday morning stating that the Nigerian youths have the rights to express their displeasure on the current state of affairs in the country.
Bishop Oyedepo added that he had been silent on the issue so far because he had warned Nigerians in 2015 and that the last 5 years had been the most gruesome in the nation’s history.
In his words, “Every man has a right, legitimately so, to express their displeasure and pains. I kept quiet for a while because in 2015 I warned this nation vehemently, consistently, because I saw the dangers ahead and you can tell.
“The most gruesome season in the history of the nation is the last 5 years where lives have no value, wanton killings here and there”
Bishop Oyedepo endorsed the youth’s movement as they don’t know who is next in line to be killed, adding that the leaders won’t be here today if they have been killed in their days.
On Police killing peaceful protesters, he said, “It would be a sacrilege to shoot the protesters who are not looting, who are not ravaging”.
Bishop Oyedepo joined the likes of Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Paul Enenche, to lend their voices to the ongoing protest by Nigerian youths in the country.
