France and Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been charged with two more rape counts in a new revelation.
Mendy has been summoned to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old footballer is now facing one count of sexual assault and six counts of rape as he remains in custody.
The French man was charged for sexual assault and rape of four individuals over the age of 16, alleged to have happened between October 2020 and August 2021.
The club has suspended the Man City defender after being charged by the police pending investigation.
