BBNaija Lockdown: Let’s Talk Ships, Shipwrecks

Relationships in the BBNaija Lockdown house is not unusual, the issue is with how long they last.

From the beginning, the  Big brother house has a reputation for sparking romantic relationships with housemates. Sometimes these relationships make t out of the house and sometimes they do not.

Vee and Praise Shipwreck,Vee and Neo Ship

 The BBNaija lockdown house in less than a week has recorded a couple of ships and even more shipwrecks.

To begin with, on the very first night, Vee aka London marked her territory with the dancer, Praise . The British born housemate took an immediate liking to praise and all was going well until Praise dropped the heavy news about his ever supportive fiancé outside the house. This is on record as the first ship wreck in the BBNaija season 5 house.

Never to be caught slipping, Vee immediately gave him space and found a new love interest, Neo. The two appeared to be an unlikely pair but they haven’t had any fallouts just yet and it is safe to say that this ship is doing well for now.

Eric and Lilo Ship

The most obvious ship in this house . They are well on their way to being the Khaffi and Gedoni of the previous season . The two hit it off on the very first day. What seemed like a random question about muscles and physical fitness has blossomed into a very romantic situationship. Whenever you see Eric be assured that Lilo is five seconds away.

The duo hasn’t expressly said that they are in a committed relationship but they are acting like it. Their lack of confirmation is understandable though since they’ve just been in the house for just 6 days. The viewers are diligently watching this ship and it looks like a hill some fans can die on. Let’s hope it ends in a beautiful fairytale.

Laycon, Erica and Kidd Waya triangle.

This is an interesting ‘shipangle’ (ship+ triangle )

Layton and Erica started getting noticeably close. Erica even mentioned during her diary sessions that she was bonding better with Laycon than any other housemate. This was even more reason why her camp switch was shocking to the viewers. 

On the 4th day, Erica and Kidd Waya hit it off. They spent so much time together and when Kiddwaya wasn’t feeling well, she actually helped him around with some chores. 

Last night, she bared her emotions to Kidd Waya with lots of tears we must add. Talking about feeling lonely and not having anyone in her corner. As expected Kidd Waya said he would always be there for her if she needed him. That so cute but what about Laycon? #whereislaycon?

Dora and Ozo almost shipwreck, Ozo and Nengi Ship.

This is the most recent shipwreck/ship in the BBNaija Lockdown house. Dorothy and Ozo had an organic friendship from the first day in the house and we all saw it .

However, things are starting to get a bit messy with Nengi in the mix. While the housemates were getting to know each other Ozo responded to the question of his spec in the house. He said Nengi was his spec but what the other housemates heard is that he liked Nengi . This started the speculations that Ozo had a thing for Nengi, putting Dora in an awkward and unpleasant situation and Ozo honestly was not helping the situation because he keeps flirting with Nengi and claiming otherwise.

Last night, Dora decided that enough is enough and decided to thrash it out with Ozo. She told him that she didn’t like the situation that he was putting her in. Being so close to and spending time with her was not going to work if he would keep hinting that he fancied Nengi. Dora said she was already getting snide looks and remarks from other housemates and soon she would eject herself from the awkward friendship with Ozo to save her stress. Ultimate Yellow as Ozo is only called, denied having anything to do with Nengi, telling Dora that she was kind of overthinking the situation. Dora stood her ground and decided to give her friendship with Ozo a break much to Ozo’s dismay.

Ozo confided in his friend, Eric and said that if he had to choose between his friendship with Dora and any romantic relationship in the house, he’d pick his friendship with Dora.

That statement doesn’t hold water though as minutes later, he was seen in the garden flirting heavily with Nengi again and this time he told her that he ‘fancied’ her , he carefully avoided using the word ‘like’ but his body language spoke  different. Hmmmmmm.

What is Ozo really up to?   Remember he said he had never been in a relationship but had been in various situations hips. Is he trying to drag Nengi and Dora into a situationship?
