Mercy accuses Ilebaye of provoking Ike and Seyi. Despite helping Ilebaye gather her clothes from the bathroom floor, Mercy later accuses Ilebaye of provocation.
After she had helped Ilebaye out, she proceeded to downplay the incident amongst Pere and Frodd. Pere was not in the know of what transpired. He was confused when he discovered that someone had littered Ilebaye’s clothes on the bathroom floor.
Mercy proceeded to narrate that it was Seyi and Ike. She explained why it happened. Consequently, she defended their actions.
“People will not see when she took Seyi’s drink but they will see when they have an issue” She explained.
“Apparently probably Seyi saw it ’cause Seyi told me somebody took his drink” Frodd added. he knew a little about the incident leading up to Seyi’s reaction.
“No Seyi said she is the one and she didn’t deny it” Mercy clarified. She explained to Pere and Frodd that It was Ilebaye that had taken Seyi’s drink. It was due to this awareness that Seyi and Ilebaye had an altercation.
“Took his drink, his water or what?”, Pere asked confused.
“Drink”, she explained that it was his alcoholic beverage from his stash.
“She took his drink from his stash?”, Pere asked. “Yes,” Mercy replied. “I swear” Frodd added.
“That’s the thing. Nobody will see that part. The only thing that counts is this shit that just happened right now” Mercy complained. She was frustrated that no one would see Ilebaye’s actions and she would be viewed as a victim.
“Why would she do that without asking?” Pere asked rhetorically.
“You can ask her,” Frodd says, making fun of Ilebaye’s Ghanaian accent.
“I had to take Seyi out. It’s not even worth it. What is the drink?”, Mercy added. Frodd also talked about how he calmed Seyi.
“That girl is disrespectful” Pere concluded.
“Why would you be uttering such word?” Frodd complained about Seyi’s behaviour.
“You people have enabled the victim game for her”, Mercy complained. She complained that Ilebaye is playing a victim card. “The way she goes and cries” she complained about Ilebaye’s behaviour.
According to Mercy, the other housemates are helping Ilebaye gain fans. The more she leans into the pity card, the more likely she is to win the shoe.
Pere disagrees. He concludes that the fans will see through her actions.
Nevertheless, strategies or not, is Mercy justifying Seyi’s actions?
