Sadly, a Divisional Police Officer, DPO, DSP A. A. Rano, has been shot dead while an army personnel, Col. Masoyi was severely injured in the fire exchange with some bandits.
It was also learnt that the armed men took several persons as hostages after their calculated invasion of the community in Katsina State.
Report says have attacked Magamar Jibia town, in the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, where the gunmen killed the Divisional Police Officer, Rano and a soldier.
Also, the DPO had led a reinforcement to repel the bandits when they ambushed and killed him and the military personnel.
Earlier, everyevery.ng reported that a brave Nigerian Soldier has paid the ultimate price trying to protect a community named Nyuwar in Gombe State.
In an attempt to prevent some communal clashes among neighbouring communities in the region, the soldier was caught in a crossfire and eventually gave up the ghost.
Reports revealed that there were series of hostilities dominating several communities around and within the Gombe and Adamawa axis, precisely in the North-Eastern parts of the country.
