A Republic of Ireland player has been ruled out of Wednesday’s Nations League game in Finland after he was confirmed positive for coronavirus. The player is the third person to test positive for Covid-19 in the squad. The unnamed player, who had initially tested positive before a negative result in a second test on Monday, must now isolate for 10 days. The English Premier League has reported new cases of coronavirus following the weekly test they run for the players. They said there have been five positive results from the latest round of coronavirus testing. They conducted a total of 1,128 test on players and club staff tested between Monday, 5 October and Sunday, 11 October.
