A figure made available by the Spanish labour Ministry on Tuesday showed that the rate of unemployment rose by more than 282,000 in April. According to the Ministry, the job loss is due to the collapse of tourism during the coronavirus lockdown. As part of measures to check the spread of the Coronavirus in Rivers state, Governor Nyesom Wike has announced a total lockdown on Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas of the State.
