Popular Nigerian comedian and radio host, Ushbebe, has stated that Nigeria has nothing to celebrate even after 60 years of independence.
Ushbebe made this known during a recent interview with TV host, Ebuka-Obi Uchendu on Channels Television. The comedian who was connected via Skype said the only thing we had celebrated this year is Laycon, winner of the just concluded Big Brother Naija Season 5 show.
Ebuka had asked the comedian, “Do you find anything to celebrate at 60? Anything in the past 60 years you find funny”
Ushbebe reacted to this hilariously, he said, “Aside Laycon this year what else to celebrate”
He then stressed his point, “They’ve made us look at other activities happening in our economy. We’ve look forward to other forms of relaxation”
Ushbebe also talked about the issue of Police/SARS brutality. He stated that celebrities are now called upon by Nigerians to lead the protest whereas the so-called leaders are left alone.
