A 25 years old Nigerian has died of Coronavirus complications at a Lagos State isolation centre, adding to the number of lives lost to the novel Coronavirus in the country.
According to the state Commissioner for Health. Professor Akin Abayomi, the victim, had severe breathlessness while he was battling for his life on admission at the isolation centre.
In his tweet, he said, ” We regret to announce additional COVID-19 related death involving a 25-year-old male, who in a state of severe breathlessness. A total number of COVID-19 related death in Lagos is now 20.”
While advising the state residents to remain committed to observing necessary precautionary measures to stop the spread of the virus, he said Lagos State has a total of 722 active cases with 49 new recoveries recorded.
