Joi Nunieh, Ex NDDC boss says she is the only woman to slap Akpabio.
Former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC ), Joi Nunieh says she slapped Former governor and Minister of Niger Delta affairs for sexually harassing her.
Nunieh said this while speaking in a television interview today. Claiming that the incident occurred at his Abuja guest house, she said that her reaction to the alleged harrassment is evidence that she is a true Ogoni (Rivers state) woman who has no tolerance for nonsense.
She said,
“Why didn’t he tell Nigerians that I slapped him in his guest house at Apo? I am the only woman that slapped Akpabio. He thought he could come up on me. He tried to harass me sexually”
The former MD also accused Godswill Akpabio of trying to make her inflate the NDDC budget.
She claimed that the minister directed her to include in the NDDC budget, a list of projects from the Refugee Commission, which is another federal government for IDPs.
Joi Nunieh said,
“How do you tell me to put some of their projects in the NDDC budget when we have so many things to do in Niger Delta? How do you explain that?”
She also mentioned during her interview that the Minister wanted her to “take a blood oath of secrecy in Abuja”
Earlier, Godswill Akpabio had accused Nunieh who was removes from office of insubordination and that she lacks the qualifications to hold such a high office. He also mentioned her inability to provide her NYSC certificate .
Nunieh and Akpabio have made several allegations against each other in life of the senate ad hoc investigation on the alleged mismanagement of N40 billion by the NDDC’s Interim Management Committee(IMC).
