Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has announced the appointment of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi also known as “Tukana” as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Tukana, who was expected to resume immediately was appointed following the resignation of the former SSG, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde on Monday.
You will recall that the former SSG announced his resignation without giving any explanation on why he decided to resign.
His resignation came a few weeks after the State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi dumped the All Progressive Congress, APC and decided to pitch his tent with the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Akeredolu recovers from COVID-19
In another development, Governor Akeredolu has confirmed that he had recovered from Coronavirus, COVID-19 adding that he received the news that he tested Negative for the virus in the early hours of Monday.
“Today I delivered my weekly #COVIDー19 briefing in person after receiving news this morning that I tested Negative for Covid. I am grateful for all your support and prayers. We will win the Covid 19 fight in Ondo State.”
The Governor also urged the people of the State to deepen their prayers for divine intervention and perfect healing for the state.
He made this known in a series of Tweets on his Twitter handle a few hours after Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde resigned from his cabinet as the SSG.
