Ajimobi’s Burial
Finally, the former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi has been laid to rest according to islamic rites.
Th burial which took place at his residence, 6th Avenue, Yemola Street, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan Oyo State is coming days after he lost his life to complications related to coronavirus.
The former governor died aged 70. News about his death went viral days before his death was finally confirmed due to multiple organ failure and complication related to coronavirus.
His burial was reportedly done in compliance to some coronavirus regulations like not having a gathering of more than 20 people, as those in attendance were his wife, Florence Ajimobi and few members of his immediate family.

Report says the Oyo State government did not approve the location preferred by the Ajimobi family to bury the former governor because there is a litigation on the Agodi GRA property.
The Ajimobi’s burial was monitored by strict security men, who ensured there were no intrusions or gatecrashing as his political colleagues were not able to attend the burial of the famous politician.
The burial was however followed by a prayer for the repose of his soul at the Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Mosque, Oke Ado, Ibadan the Oyo State capital.
