The Nigerian Airforce has confirmed that a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting an engine failure enroute to Minna.
According to the Director of Public Relations and Information Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice-Marshal Ibikunle Daramola, all seven personnel on board died in the crash.
Daramola added that the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice-Marshal IO Amao has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident.

While urging the general public to remain calm and await the investigation’s outcome, the CAS, on behalf of all NAF personnel, commiserates with the deceased’s families.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar condoled with the affected families, particularly the Nigerian Air force.
Also, the All Progressives Congress, APC condoled with the family of the Air Force personnel involved in Sunday’s fatal crash of the military aircraft at the Abuja Airport.
