The spokesman for the Yoruba social-cultural group, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, is dead.
A former presidential candidate, Dele Momodu, who confirmed the death of Odumakin in a tweet on Saturday, noted that Tokunbo Afikuyomi, a mutual friend to the deceased, told him about the development.
Meanwhile, a group clamouring for the sovereignty of the South-western region, Yoruba Nation, has also confirmed the passing away of Odumakin.
The group vowed to continue to speak against Killings and kidnappings of Yoruba sons and daughters by suspected Fulani herders.
