Anti-bullying advocate and plane crash survivor, Kechi turns 31 today.
Born Kechi Okwuchi, the 31-year-old was one of the two survivors of the Sosoliso plane crash.
The Sosliso airline 1145 crashed in December 2005 killing all but two people, including Kechi Okwuchi who was in secondary school at the time.
Despite going through several medical procedures, Kechi went on to be a finalist at the America’s Got Talent in 2017.
She wowed the judges with her singing talent and got a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell which is no easy feat.
Kechi has started a career for herself in music, making original covers and writing her own songs.
Additionally, she speaks at events and leads several campaigns against all forms of bullying.
She took to social media to share a birthday message to herself with the caption,
‘I’m 31 today and I’m so thankful to God for health and for loved ones to celebrate this day with.
I’m thankful for all of you too for adding meaning to my life in ways I never expected.
