The British soul singer Adele has revealed how lucky she is in her newfound relationship.
Adele, who expressed her fears about her exes, said she was worried someone would “sell a story” on her when she started dating.
After her split from Simon Konecki, she feels “lucky” that all her love interests were respectful and did not try to tell a story that could demean her new relationship.
The 33-year-old singer has said she had a real fear of dating again because he could find herself on a date with someone only interested in using her for her fame.
The multiple award winner now goes public with her new relationship in July after being spotted with her new boyfriend at a basketball game.
The singer, who is now dating a sports agent, Rich Paul, recently gushed over her new boyfriend; she described it as feeling “lucky” that none of her exes betrayed her trust but still not leaving out the possibility.
She said: “Everyone is someone or everyone wants to be someone. I’ve been so lucky that no one I’ve been with has ever sold a story on me. I feel like that could be a possibility.”
The singer who is set to release a twelve track album “30” in November 19 also said it was impossible to meet people at first, and also friends could not set her up on a blind date because of her high profile status.
Speaking on her first date, she said: “[It] was a great learning curve and nice to feel loved, but it was never going to work.”
She said they were both happy, though she didn’t mean to go public with the relationship; she just loved being around him.
