Former Presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has sued Twitter and its founder, Jack Dorsey, for $1bn over the resultant violence that has soiled the #EndSARS protests happening in the country.
Recall that Dorsey had expressed his support for the #EndSARS protests days ago.
Garba filed a violation of sovereignty and human rights suit before a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Others included in the suit are, the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigeria Communications Commission, etc.
It remains unclear how Garba will subpoena Twitter since the social network giant has no office in Nigeria.
