The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has commiserated with the victims of pipeline explosion in Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Sunday. The party has also called on the government to be proactive.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the party’s National Chairman, Mallam Falalu Bello, OFR and distributed to newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
The full statement reads:
“The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) considers it pertinent to express sadness over the pipeline explosion in Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Sunday.
The PRP also deems it necessary to commiserate with victims of the explosion. We do deeply condole with families and loved ones of those that lost their lives in the tragic incident. We wish the injured victims a quick restoration to health. We also sympathise with residents who lost properties to the inferno. We pray to God to comfort all those who are affected.
In addition, we urge the Lagos State Government to implement measures that would bring relief and succour to the victims. We also call on the relevant authorities and agencies to get to the root of the recurring explosions in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria with a view to ascertaining the cause and forestalling a recurrence.”
