The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has issued a new directive to candidates who should sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, 2021 UTME, in delisted centres.
The spokesman for the exam body, Fabian Benjamin, asked the candidates to print new examination notification slips from Sunday, June 20, to know their new schedule date and time.
Earlier, JAMB had announced that it delisted twenty-four centres for performing below the tolerable limit of the Board, while the examination body put over 40 other centres on the watchlist.
In the meantime, JAMB has blamed the drop in the revenue generated from the sale of forms for the 2021 UTME and the Direct Entry Examinations on introducing the National Identification Number as part of the requirement for the registration process.
2021 UTME
EveryEvery.ng gathered that JAMB generated N5,887,628,900 from the sale of forms for UTME/DE compared to the N6,563,086,710 the Board made in 2020 According to the exam body, the introduction of NIN made it impossible for some prospective candidates to register.
