The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said Faisal Maina, son of Abdulrasheed Maina, the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Team has jumped bail and fled to the United States of America.
According to Mohammed Abubakar, counsel to the EFCC, Maina’s son jumps bail and travelled out of Nigeria. Abubakar revealed this on Thursday while speaking with Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The EFCC’s counsel said from the information at the anti-graft agency’s disposal, Faisal fled to America through the Republic of Niger.

Meanwhile, Justice Abang had earlier in a committal proceeding ruling, ordered Faisal’s surety, Sani Dan-Galadima to forfeit a property used as a bail bond.
Galadima is a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura-Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara.
You will recall that Justice Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja had suspended court proceedings in December 2020 after Abulrasheed Maina slumped in the court.
Maina, who is facing money laundering charges reportedly slumped down shortly after the court resumed proceedings in the 12-count order preferred against him by the EFCC.
The EFCC also filed a case against his company, Common Input Property and Investment Limited.
