Falz Says He Has No Plans For Politics
Popular Nigerian rapper/actor, Folarin Falana aka Falz Thebahdguy has reacted to talks about him going into politics.
The lawyer turned entertainer made this known in an Instagram Live session with his fans and followers.
Falz took the forefront alongside other celebrities during the #ENDSARS protest and became a hero for young Nigerians.
A particular social media user at that point stated that he would be good as Nigerian President while Davido who was also active was picked as his running mate.
The lawyer’s son (Femi Falana) during the Live session stated that his activism was not because he wanted to go into politics.
In his words, “Going into politics has never been the plan. I have never said to myself that I would run for any (public) office.
“My motive for activism is just for the sake of humanity. A lot of people ask if I am going to run for any office but I don’t have any such plans. I have never registered with any political party” he said.
The UK trained lawyer said that his motive is to join in effecting change in Nigeria with a certain standard of living achieved for people.
Although Falz has stated that he is not venturing into politics, his father, Femi Falana was once a gubernatorial candidate in Ekiti State where they hail from.
