As reports about fresh EndSARS protest makes the round, armed Policemen and soldiers have reportedly stormed the Lekki Toll Gate as part of efforts to forestall another round of the protest.
Several motorists confirmed that the security operatives were deployed around midnight to stop the protest that was proposed to be staged on Monday, December 7.
Earlier, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi had warned that the command will not allow another round of EndSARS protest in the state.
Soldiers Storm Lekki Toll Gate
The PPRO stated that security operatives in the state will not fold arms seeing individuals or groups orchestrating another violence and anarchy in the state.
However, he warned parents and guardians to discourage their children and wards from being lured into any act, gathering or protest capable of causing violence in the state.
According to him, the Government of Lagos State, businesses, individuals and security families still groan in losses and pains that the last violent Endsars protest occasioned.
Also, the military and the police authorities had earlier warned several times last week that they would not allow another round of protests to take place.
