The Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan has on Monday led a federal government delegation on a condolence visit to Borno State over the killing of 43 rice farmers in the State.
Ola Awoniyi, the Special Adviser on Media to the Senate President disclosed this via a tweet. According to Awoniyi, the delegation was in Borno, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Federal Government.
He said Lawan led the delegation to commiserate and identify with the family of the victims, the Government and the people of Borno State over the incident.
In the meantime, the Senior Special Assistant to resident Buhari on media, Mallam Garba Shehu has reacted to the killings in Zabarmari village by asking whether the victims got military clearance before resuming farming.
Lawan Pays Condolence Visit To Borno

Shehu, who spoke to BBC a few hours after the gruesome killings opined that the government was sad about the tragic incident.
The Presidential spokesman said he had been briefed by military authorities that the villagers did not seek military advice before exposing themselves to the attacks.
