Georgia, in the USA, on Thursday completed the manual recount of all the ballots cast in the November 3 presidential election. The results confirmed Joe Biden, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, as the winner in the state.
In a statement posted on the website of Georgia secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger said, “The audit confirmed that the original machine count accurately portrayed the winner of the election.”
This makes Biden the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the southern US state in almost three decades.
President Donald Trump, however, has failed to accept results from the presidential election, making baseless claims of election fraud.
