Babatunde Fashola finds camera at Lekki Tollgate
Minister Of Work and Housing and former Governor of Lagos Babatunde Fashola has been at the receiving end of jokes on the internet following the inspection of the burnt Lekki toll plaza that led to him discovering a camera.
On Sunday, Fashola led Federal Government delegates to commiserate with the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu over the destruction of private and state-owned property and the injury /loss of life of several peaceful protesters in the state.
Some of the public officers in this delegation include Sunday Dare; Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Omotayo Alasoadura; Minister of State for Niger Delta, Olorunnibe Mamora, Minister of State for Health; Niyi Adebayo, Minister For Trade and Investment; Olamilekan Adegbite, Minister For Mines and Industry; Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Interior.
This entourage joined by some south-west governors went on a spot inspection at the Lekki Tollgate and that was when Minister Fashola found the camera which he dutifully handed over to Lagos state Governor Sanwo-Olu for forensic analysis and investigation. He went on to say that the said camera was planted there before the unfortunate shootings for ulterior motives.
Reacting to these developments Nigerians wasted no time in making jokes out of the situation because a vast majority found it very hard to believe that the camera was still lying in plain sight at the toll plaza days after it was razed by fire. See some of the reactions below;
