A suspect, who identified himself as Ishaq Abubakar Abubakar has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command.
The man, who was arrested with 2,886 Automated Teller Machine, ATM cards and four SIM cards was handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Deputy Controller of Customs, MMIA Area Command, Abdulmumin Bako said the suspect was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on August 22, 2020, while attempting to board an Emirates evacuation flight to Dubai.
Bako said the suspect with international passport number A08333717 was apprehended during outward screening of passengers after he arrived at the airport from Kano State.
According to the Bako, the ATM cards and SIM cards were carefully concealed in noodles carton.
