In a post he shared on his Instagram page, the singer, who is also the founder and the CEO of empawa Africa noted that the African continent has been an exploitation ground for mineral resources for too long.
He stated that 95% of the mineral resources that were discovered in the continent were shipped out of Africa while the remaining 5% gets mismanaged.
The Afro-pop singer added that though coruption is in all parts of the world, the high level of exploitation leaves Africa riddled with poverty, zero equity and little or no infrastructures.

However, he canvassed for the need to put an end to what he described as a form of slavery for the sake of the African people given the global climate change.
Mr Eazi pointed out that some of the biggest players in the Afrcan Music ecosystem are not owned by Africans.
He said “As this new Land Grab for African music intensifies, we are faced with a future where we would not have any equity in what we hold dear to us- Our culture.”
“At the end of the day, we might have to pay a premium to use infrastructures set up by others.”
Mr Eazi further stated that it is the responsibility of every African creative and stakeholder in the ecosystem to push towards African equity participation.
