Aside from the death of famous Nigerian-American On-air personality, Dan Foster, six other Nigerian journalists have been reported dead within seven days amid the battle against the Coronavirus pandemic.
According to a source, Newsmakers, in the last seven days, seven Nigerian journalists have died from COVID-19 and other illnesses.
On the list are Dan Foster, a former staff of Cool FM, Hugo Odiogor, a former editor at the Vanguard, Xavier Ndayongmong (Crime Editor at Daily Independent), and Nkiruka Udoh (Crime and Defence Correspondent at AIT, who reportedly died of complications from fibroid operation.
Others are Naomi Uzor (on the Business Desk at the Vanguard), Aramide Praise Oikelome (the Media Project and Independent Newspapers), and Azeez Ozi Sanni (Cartoonist at The Nation), who reportedly died after battling with a liver problem.

In the meantime, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has announced that 436 new cases of Coronavirus were reported as of Sunday, June 21 bringing the total number of cases reported in Nigeria to 20,244.
Meanwhile, 6879 infected persons have been discharged while 518 deaths have been reported in the country.
