Preliminary findings from the Ethiopian airline Boeing 737 max 8 crash has come to light. The findings indicate an automated software may be at fault.
The findings suggest that the flight control feature automatically activated before the nose dived into the ground.
According to the Wall Street Journal, these are the first information to come to light following the crash earlier this month.
The FAA grounded all Boeing 737 max planes following the similarities between the Lion Air crash in Indonesia last year.
The automated flight software called Manuevering Characteristics Augumentation System (MCAS) could be to blame for both crashes.
The MCAS is a system that lowers the plane when it receives information its external angle of attack (AOA) sensors that the aircraft is flying too slowly or steeply at risk of stalling.
