Grammy Winner, Tyla trends massively after the AFCON match between South Africa and Nigeria. Nigeria won the match to the excitement of its countrymen round the world, and Tyla found herself in the midst of the commotion.
Yesterday’s match ended in the favor of the Super Eagles. They had initially drew with Bafana Bafana, but took the victory in the penalty. They score 4 penalties and averted 2 of Bafana Bafana’s penalties.
The air was filled with excitement as Nigerians drummed up a storm celebrating a a well earned victory. ‘Water’ was the song on the lips of Nigerians as they celebrated their win against south Africa.
The South African singer, Tyla who sang the hit song ‘water’, took home the Grammy’s, out-winning 5 Nigerian artistes who were nominated. As South Africans celebrated Tyla’s win, many Nigerians took it as a loss.
So when Nigerians won the match yesterday, they made fun of the situation by singing Tyla’s hit single. All good natured fun, showing how ‘we win some and we lose some’.
