Yoruba monarch, Ooni of Ife, has picked another wife barely a year after Prophetess Naomi Silekunola left the palace.
The new Queen, reported to be from Kogi State, Mariam Anako, arrived at the palace of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Tuesday night.
Ooni’s wife was welcomed to the palace after brief rites at the entrance, as she was led into the inner court to meet her husband and other guests waiting to receive her.
In a video shared on Ooni’s Facebook page around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, the chiefs and close aides welcomed the new wife into the palace.
Prophet Naomi announced separation from the monarch through her Instagram page on Thursday, December 23, 202.
The now denounced Queen stated that she tried making the three-year union work, but, the Ooni’s public identity is at variance with “his true self”.
The 3 years of marriage produced a son, Tadenikawo, and have previously been married twice.
