Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has won another award after clinching the footballer of the year.
The Senegalese international has been named the Senegal Footballer of the Year after beating Sadio Mane to the Award.
Sadio Mane has been voted the countries player of the year six times in a row before seeing the goalkeeper dethrone him.

The Award, which was voted for by the nations sports journalists, saw Mendy gather a whopping 321 votes, with his Liverpool counterpart gathering 99 votes and Watford Ismailia Sarr, 61 votes.
The UEFA goalkeeper of the year has been in top form for his club Chelsea since he joined them from Rennes in September 2020.
The Chelsea number 16 was recently the runner up in the Yashin Trophy, an award dedicated to goalkeepers at the Ballon’dor, which he controversially lost to PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Mendy became the first African goalkeeper to win a Champions League, keeping a joint record nine clean sheets in last seasons competition.
Since joining the club, the goalkeeper has also kept 36 clean sheets in 65 appearances, conceding only 42 goals.
The Chelsea goalkeeper is expected to join his Senegal side in January when they compete for the African Nations Cup in Cameroon.
