Nigerian Olympic Gold Medalist Paul Kehinde is dead four weeks after his anti-doping ban.
The Nigerian Para Powerlifter was reported to have died on Thursday after a brief illness.
He represented Nigeria in the 2016 Summer Paralympics, where he competed in the 65 kg and 72 Kg class.
The Powerlifter broke the world record twice when he lifted the 218kg and 220kg weight.
He made another record at the Mexico World Championship in 2017 when he won Gold with a World Record lift of 220.5kg.
On October 11th 2021, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) slammed him with a thirty months ban for violating anti-doping rules.
The media person for the Nigeria Paralympic Federation, Fred Edoreh, confirmed his death and stated the thirty-three-year-old Olympian will be buried today.
