Nigerian musician and rapper Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz has declared his political ambition ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria.
Falz has been outspoken about his desire for good governance and a better Nigeria while advocating for the youth to declare interest in governance.
Some youths have been advocating for the law graduate to declare a presidential ambition otherwise form a political party for the youth after the #EndSars protest that rocked the country.
Falz not Interested in Becoming President
The 31-year-old son of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and activist Femi Falana has recently said during a podcast that he has no plan of running for any political office in the country.
The rapper reiterated his stand for a greater Nigeria, insisting that the country needs fixing as a lot of things have gone wrong.
Falz said: “Being a President, I’ve never thought about it, it’s not part of the plans. I’m just a well-wisher that wants everything to be ok in this country.
“I look around me and I see everything is upside down and I don’t think we should be existing like this as a people.
“There’s an entire array of greatness we’re supposed to walk into, but we’re dragging our feet, that’s the problem.”
The #EndSARS activist have been canvassing on social media for the youths to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready ahead of the forthcoming election.
He also added that he is not scared of any threat from any quarters, and would rather die fighting than cower in fear.
