The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced the date and registration criteria for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
According to the head of the public affairs and protocol unit, Fabian Benjamin, the UTME registration is set for April 8. The examination is scheduled to hold between June 5 and June 19.
Benjamin said the examination body announced the date for the UTME 2021 at the meeting of its governing board, adding that both the UTME and the direct entry forms will be on sale concurrently.
Meanwhile, the JAMB official stated that the National Identification Number (NIN) is mandatory for any prospective candidates to be registered.
According to him, the NIN is mandatory for participation in the 2021 Registration Exercise.

However, the examination body has retained the registration cost at N3,500 and an additional N500 for the mandatory purchase of reading texts for the candidates.
The examination body added that the 2021 UTME forms would be on sale across 700 centres nationwide between April 8 and May 15.
Meanwhile, an optional Mock will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021, for those who indicate interest and registered before April 24, 2021.
