One of the most anticipated album from a Nigerian artist is Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album which has been announced since 2018.
The album was set to be dropped finally on the 15th of October, 2020 following the release of two tracks (Smile & No Stress) off the album as well as merch made by clothing brand, Puma, for the ‘Made In Lagos’ album.
When asked about the album by a Twitter follower, Wizkid stated that it has to wait as Nigerian youths are currently in protest to SAY NO TO Police/SARS brutality and ensure that their demands which include justice for the lives lost, compensation for their family, and so on.
The Twitter user @Tolanikawo4 asked the singer, “#SarsMustGoNow ……but @wizkidayo MIL go still drop?”
Wizkid in his reply wrote, “Not yet, mad times”
The Afrobeat singer was part of the ongoing #ENDSARS protest as he showed up in one of the protests held in London, United Kingdom.
