Governor Nyesom Wike has donated 20 million naira to each family of ten slained security personnel.
The security personnel were killed by members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB in Rivers State.
Governor Wike presented the Cheques to the widows of the personnel at the State Police Command in Port Harcourt.
Wike noted that the gesture is in fulfilment of his promise to alleviate the plight of the widows and their children.
However, he condemned the killing of the security operatives by some members of the proscribed IPOB.
He further stated that the state government will not tolerate any terrorist group to kill any citizen, particularly policemen and soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Rivers state commissioner of police, Joseph Mukan revealed that the police have recovered some stolen arms.
Also, he said some persons have been arrested in connection with the attacks in the state.
The police Boss further said 22 persons have been charged to court.
Reacting, the General officer commanding 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Orlu Irefin thanked Governor Wike for the donations.
