The founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has clarified speculations linking his decision to wear white clothes to spirituality.
Bishop Oyedepo, while explaining why he is fond of wearing white clothes, said he wears the clothes because it is cheaper. According to the clergyman, white dresses are more affordable and easy to maintain than others.
Oyedepo opined that white clothes don’t fade compared to other colours.
You will recall that Bishop Oyedepo recently sacked about 40 pastors over what some people blamed on the pastors’ failure to generate enough revenue in their branches.
Meanwhile, Oyedepo, who justified the sacking of the pastors, accused them of not being fruitful. The clergy noted that social media users kept mum when the church employed 7000 pastors at once.

He further revealed that the church has more employees than most states in Nigeria and have not owed them or taken bank overdraft at any time. According to Bishop Oyedepo, the church has no patience for failure.
Oyedepo noted that the Living Faith Church had built more than 1,000 churches in rural areas, with each costing more than N14 million. However, he opined that the church is hunting after souls, not income.
One Pastor identified as Peter Godwin had claimed that the Living Faith church sacked the pastors in Ekiti State for having a church growth index that falls below expectations. Pastor Godwin added that the management of the church told him that they don’t operate at a loss.
