A Wazobia FM staff allegedly commits suicide two days after he was asked to resign.
The man identified as Hillary Okechukwu was a sales executive with the station. According to reports from colleagues, he committed suicide after he was sacked from the office over a case of alleged misappropriation of funds.
He was relieved of his duty after working with Wazobia FM for 10 years on November 18 2020 and this made him distraught. His colleagues said that he suffered a cardiac arrest from a drug overdosed suspected to be a suicide attempt.
Reports had it that the station’s management held an urgent meeting following Hillary’s death but it was mostly to absolve themselves of blame but the deceased’s colleagues refused to reveal their identity for fear of repercussions.
