Months after his marriage was brought up for public discourse, popular actor, Richard Mofe Damijo popularly called RMD opens up on cheating rumours that made rounds about him.
Recall that an Instagram blogger alleged that the actor was set to leave his wife, Jumobi, for his long time affair with popular Lagos interior designer, Chioma Ilomuanya. Despite the rumours that were making the news about this alleged extra-marital affair, the actor kept mute and made no comments until recently.
RMD Opens Up on Cheating Scandal
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, RMD spoke on the allegations saying that people do not respect the sanctity of marriage especially celebrity marriages. He mentioned that rumours like these were really hard on his wife seeing that she is not always in the spotlight. Addressing the naysayers, he said;
“…there are people who, they look at you and without any regard for the sanctity of your marriage or your home, all you want to do is just tear me down like oh he’s in love with somebody else, he’s going to leave his wife tomorrow, like how do you even wake up and do that, what have I done to you?“
He then added that what makes it easier on his marriage is the fact that he never really sees himself as a celebrity and so does not approach his relationship as celebrity marriage.
