Barely a month to the Presidential elections, President of the United States of America, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump have tested positive for Coronavirus, COVID-19.
In a tweet in the early hours of Friday, October 2, the President disclosed this noting that they will both begin their quarantine and recovery process immediately.
Trump’s announcement was coming after it was revealed one of his top aides, Hope Hicks, had contracted the virus.
Both Mr Trump and the First Lady had spent time with Ms. Hicks this week, including while traveling on Air Force One to Cleveland for the first presidential debate against Democratic challenger Joe Biden on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the US presidential election is scheduled for November 3 while the second presidential debate is scheduled to take place in just under two weeks.
