Despite claims by his lawyer that he fund his luxury lifestyle from his job as an Instagram celebrity, a court in the Northern District of Illinois in the United States of America has denied Ramon Abass, also known as Huspuppi bail.
Earlier, his lawyer, Gal Pissetzky had applied for him to leave jail with an electronic tag and live with the uncle of a woman with whom he has a child with but US prosecutors opposed the bail application.
Gal described Hushpuppi as a lovable and well-respected celebrity adding that he sees no reason why he would want to ruin his credibility in the world.
The prosecutors argued that he had never visited the girlfriend or their child in the US.
However, Judge Jeffrey Gilbert denied Hushpuppi bail on grounds of him being a flight risk as he also ordered that he should be remanded in custody until he is taken to a court in California.
