In the early hours of Saturday, a Lagos-Ibadan Tanker Explosion Killed two and left at least 35 vehicles burnt.
Two victims of the explosion were said to be the driver and the conductor of the tanker.
The unfortunate multiple accidents occurred earlier today ad has been confirmed by the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps(TRACE)
Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson of TRACE said the accident happened just after Kara Bridge, around World Oil axis, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway
He also said that the tanker was loaded with diesel which is highly inflammable.
Proferring a solution to the imminent traffic along the affected express, he suggested other routes.
“In view of the multiple fatal accidents involving a tanker loaded with diesel, which has brought enormous traffic challenge in its wake,
motorists are implored to please avoid the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway presently and seek alternative routes,
While TRACE, FRSC, POLICE and the FIRE SERVICE, intensify rescue operations to resolve the traffic conflict”
No other casualties have been recorded for this Lagos-Ibadan tanker explosion.
