Tension as Edo State refuses to give land for grazing
The government of Edo State has stood its ground that the state will make no amount of its land whatsoever available for cattle grazing.
This was spelt out in a statement by Osarodion Ogie Esq., the secretary to Edo State’s government, on Thursday.
Ogie pointed out that the Governor Godwin Obaseki administration’s position on this particular matter is clear and has by no means changed since the onset when it was made known that the state will cede no land to herdsmen.

Osarodion Ogie further stated that some political actors, both within and outside the state, are trying to initiate a similar situation to what is being witnessed in other states where lives and properties are being lost regularly.
These political actors are said to be angry because of the losses they have suffered in the political space.
