In a statement on Friday by the anti-graft agency’s spokesman, Tony Orilade, “this is the second time in less than two years that the former top government official would earn jail term for fraud-related offences.”
The defendants, 41-year-old Ugochukwu Dickecha and 23-year-old Gift Anthony, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.
“When the doctor came to report that his phone has been stolen, I ordered that they should go to the CCTV and check who could have possibly gone there to steal his phone.
‘’That fateful day, they brought a corpse to me to dress and embalm. When I removed her clothes to work on her I saw phone on her lap and stole it.’’
